Prayer is important because this is how we communicate with the Lord our God. It is our petition. Our formal request to our King.
We are told to be careful (anxious or worry) for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let our requests be made know unto God.
Although God knows our needs before we ask, prayer demonstrates our dependency on Him. He therefore instructs us to pray continuously without ceasing and in all things to give thanks, for this is His will.
Prayer allows for the blessings to be released from the Heavenly realm. The Word states that God hears our prayers, our supplications, and sees our tears. Prayer can heal the sick, make financing available, it can administer miracles or provide guidance and comfort. Prayer can change all things.
Prior to the parting of the Red Sea, the raising from the dead, years being added unto lives, the five thousand being fed with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread, the children of God gave thanks and cried out to our God in order to be heard.
As a matter of fact, each of our prayers go up to His holy dwelling place, even unto Heaven. His Word states that prayers are even collected in Heaven with four living creatures and the twenty-four elders that fall down before the lamb each having a harp and golden bowls of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
Furthermore, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
So even when we don’t know how to pray or what to pray, we have help!
God states, His house shall be a house of prayer for all people, for all nations. We must pray and believe that our words will be heard. Truly God listens and attends to the voice of our prayer, according to His will. Even Christ prayed to our Father, specifically for us in John Chapter 17. Read it today! He Cares.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them. Mark 11:24
In Christ Name, Keep Praying.
Be Encouraged.
